September 26, 2011 (Phoenix, Ariz.)—When a B.O.R.T.A.C border patrol agent is killed while protecting our own US borders, there should be a concern for the American people.
On December 14, 2010, Border Patrol Agent Brian A. Terry was conducting operations as a member of the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) in the Nogales, Arizona area of operations. Agent Terry’s team encountered five individuals, at least two of whom were armed with AK-47’s, in the “Peck Canyon” area near Rio Rico, Arizona. These individuals were “border bandits” who were awaiting a drug load north of the Arizona-Mexico border. Agent Terry was mortally wounded during the exchange of gunfire and succumbed to his injuries on December 15, 2010.
Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was suppose to return to his hometown of Flatrock, Michigan for Christmas the following day to see his family. He had not been home for the Christmas holiday in 3 years. Instead Brian’s family received a call that Brian was killed. He was sent home in a flag draped casket. Brian's mother Josephine has incurred a lot of expenses since her son died. As well as dealing with the cover up of her son’s murder by Operation Fast and Furious Guns. No mother should have to bury their son! Now, a group of compassionate Samaritans have gathered to help raise money for the expenses she has incurred since his death. And to help raise money to fight get Justice for Brian Terry!
Agent Terry was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the United States Border Patrol for 3.5 years. He had previously served as a police officer with the Ecorse Police Department and Lincoln Park Police Department in Michigan. We invite you to be part of the celebration honoring Brian Terry’s love that he had for life, family, friends and country. He died protecting our borders and fighting for our freedom.
