Border Patrol agents seize marijuana, methamphetamine in 3 incidents in southwestern Arizona

YUMA, Arizona — Border Patrol agents in southwestern Arizona report seizing hundreds of pounds of illegal drugs over a two-day span.
The agency says Yuma Sector agents seized 650 pounds of marijuana in two seizures south of Gila Bend and southeast of Yuma on Wednesday and Thursday. Agents also seized 14 pounds of methamphetamine on Interstate 10 near Ehrenberg on Wednesday.
A total of 16 people were arrested.
The Border Patrol said the total value of the drugs was about $400,000.
